March 3 (Block Day)

While working on the literary argument paragraph about Wild, the most challenging part for me was moving beyond summary in the analysis. It was easy to explain what happened in the story, but it was harder to clearly explain how the evidence supported my claim about discomfort leading to personal growth. I had to think more deeply about the meaning of the events instead of just describing them. This helped me understand that strong analysis explains why the evidence matters and how it connects back to the main argument.

Sept 29th

  As a child, I believed that if I made a wish on a shooting star, it would always come true. Every time I saw a streak of light across the night sky, I would close my eyes tightly and whisper my wish, feeling certain that the universe was listening. It didn’t matter if the wish was big or small, just the act of wishing made me feel hopeful and magical, as if anything was possible. Even now, I smile when I remember that innocent faith in the power of a single moment.
