The best piece of advice my parent gave me was, “Stay consistent, even when you don’t feel motivated.” I asked for advice during a time when I was feeling overwhelmed and thinking about giving up on something that was important to me. I didn’t understand why progress felt so slow, and I was frustrated with myself. My parent explained that success doesn’t come from big bursts of effort, but from showing up every day and doing your best. That advice stuck with me because it reminded me that discipline and patience matter more than temporary feelings.
