Even though I have not presented yet, participating as a listener, note-taker, and responder during the Interactive Oral has helped me prepare for my own discussion. Listening closely to others showed me what makes a strong response and how important it is to use clear examples. Taking notes helped me see different perspectives and ideas I could connect to my own thinking. Responding to classmates also helped me practice speaking clearly and building on someone else’s point. Overall, being actively involved has made me feel more confident and better prepared for when it is my turn to lead the discussion.
